Pasttimes

Throughout the year, we found ourselves to be rather bored, and tried to amuse ourselves one way or another by playing cards, pictionary, monopoly and other board games. Nintendo of course, was the main staple of everyone's amusement (all that is, except for me, Julie and a few of the other guys). Video games was and is always the main amusement for Jon (the I'm-going-to-kick-your-butt master). Kim and Jon often played Jon's playstation in Jon's room while Marcus, (because of Arjun's great habits of wrecking Ryan's nintendo system, brought it over to the girls' suite) liked to go over to Suite 224 and practice (and still sucked, to say the least :))

Toward the very end of the year, we found ourselves watching bootleg copies of Star Wars: Episode I and although I had a picture of us watching it, I didn't scan it in - sorry!

Monopoly October 25, 1998
Uh....Caroline? You DO know that Monopoly is just a game right? Or... maybe not? How do you guys like the ghetto monopoly set Kim, Milena and Caroline made? Kim forgot the board so they ended up "creating" the board.

Pictionary
We only played this a few times, but it was fun (at least to me) whenever we played. Jeremy is the best Pictionary drawer - with his cute little crab, pig and whale drawings. (Hm...I would have scanned them in, but I threw them away as I was cleaning up for moving out)

VIDEO GAMES!

Yes, everyone's favorite pasttime. Jeremy's in the first picture, not liking the fact that Grace wanted to get his picture, but look, in the last picture one can actually see his face! As for the middle picture..Milena and Jeremy look..hm...rather stoned. Living with Mario are we?

And of Course There's TV...

Now that's something almost everyone enjoys - watching Friends (especially by suitemate Melody), Dawson's Creek, and soaps such as Days of Our Lives, and Sunset Beach. Felicity became a must see for Grace thanks to her online friend Heather, and Caroline and Milena seemed to grow a liking to (in Grace's opinion, an incredibly, incredibly cheesy show) 7th Heaven. As for the guys..GET THIS - Beverly Hills 90210. They were worse with that than us with any soap. "SHH!! *points to T.V.* Dylan!" will always be known as Sam's comment in relation to the show.

RUMMY

Due to the very last game of rummy of the year, Jon was named "Rummy Champion of the Year" which, of course, made him a happy camper. Throughout the year, mainly in the beginning, Milena, Caroline, Jon, Kim, and Grace played many games of rummy. They played so much that (except for Grace) they decided to have a rummy tournament (which ended at the end of January) in which whoever wins would get a free paid dinner from the other three players. Milena came out winning, but they never paid for it until the very last Dinner. Hm..this is the only picture of people playing rummy (with Kim taking the photo). With how much we played rummy, it's a shame this is the only I have.
